Windows not booting installed windows2 works great how do I uninstall original?
win XP Pro was having problems finally would not even go to the desktop stuck I did not want to loose programs so installed again on same hard drive C:/windows2 works great but don’t know how to uninstall the original C:/windows.
You can’t now. If you do you will destroy the boot information for 2. You should have run a repair install which would have returned the original to it’s starting state. You probably can not run any of the previously installed programs. Of course the best option would have been to repair the problem. If you have leak in your house you do NOT rebuild the house to fix it. In 30 years plus of IT admin, I have NEVER had to re-install to get rid of viruses, spyware or anything else unpleasant.
